Having lived through the presidency of LBJ from the age of 17 when President Kennedy was assassinated I am grateful to the makers of this excellent film for shining the light on the most important accomplishments of his presidency--Civil Rights and The Great Society. Too many of my generation, myself included, allow his great accomplishments to be overshadowed by the tragedy of Vietnam, for which he was not solely to blame.
